The EnrollmentCoach Difference

Guidance over recommendations.
Results over reports.
Momentum that lasts beyond the engagement.

Most schools don’t need another strategic report. They need an experienced partner who works alongside leadership and admissions teams throughout the academic enrollment cycle: someone who has sat in those seats and knows what actually moves families from inquiry to enrollment.

That is the difference between consulting and coaching. A consultant evaluates and departs. A coach stays in the work with you: shaping strategy, refining systems, and building the habits that sustain enrollment year after year.

An evaluation and a report
A partner in the work itself
Recommendations left behind
Guidance through every season

Capacity your team keeps

Areas of Support

Practical help across the full enrollment cycle

Every engagement is shaped around your school’s goals. These are the six areas where schools most often ask for support.

Increase Enrollment

Proven strategies to expand the applicant pool, improve conversion, and strengthen enrollment over time.

In practice: Building an inquiry follow-up sequence that keeps families engaged.

Streamline Admissions

Improve systems, follow-up procedures, internal processes, and operational efficiency across the admissions office.

In practice: Mapping and tightening every step from first inquiry to signed contract.

Improve Family Retention

Build stronger relationships with enrolled families and reduce attrition through intentional retention strategies.

In practice: A retention plan that starts well before re-enrollment season.

Create Impactful Events

Strengthen tours, open houses, and admissions events so they better communicate the school's value and mission.

In practice: Redesigning your tour around what visiting parents actually want to see.

Enhance Visibility

Develop budget-conscious, high-value marketing, communications, ambassador, website, and social-media initiatives.

In practice: Activating a parent ambassador network that carries your story.

Make Data-Driven Decisions

Analyze enrollment information, identify trends, evaluate performance, and anticipate future opportunities.

In practice: An enrollment data review that shows where families drop off.

How It Works

A coaching relationship, not a drive-by engagement

Every stage is collaborative and hands-on. Dan works with your team, not around it: in the room, in the systems, in the season.

  1. 01

    Listen

Understand your school's mission, enrollment goals, operating model, culture, and current challenges.

  2. 02

    Diagnose

Evaluate the enrollment journey: data, communications, events, follow-up systems, and retention practices.

  3. 03

    Coach & Implement

Work directly with leadership and staff to put practical improvements into action, season by season.

  4. 04

    Build Lasting Capacity

Equip your team with repeatable systems, tools, confidence, and accountability that outlast the engagement.

Results from inside the work

These figures reflect results Dan personally delivered while working inside independent and Catholic schools. They are not client case studies. Along the way he also built websites, refreshed social-media accounts, and professionalized communications systems.

About Dan

A practitioner who has done the work, from the classroom to the enrollment office

Dan Griffin has spent more than fifteen years in independent and Catholic schools, holding roles in admissions and enrollment, the classroom, and advancement. That breadth gives him something most consultants can’t offer: a nuanced, working understanding of how schools actually function. He knows how decisions get made, how families experience a school, and how enrollment connects to everything else.

He helped launch a new middle-school division, enrolling 600 students in a single year. He has led 20% enrollment growth, raised a record $2 million annual fund, and built the websites, social-media presence, and communications systems that carry a school’s story. He brings that same practical, collaborative approach to every school he coaches.
